Michael Duncan leans back for a shot at goal during the Blazersʼ clash with Swan Hill on
Saturday night.

After their first loss of the season last round, the Maryborough Blazers have well and truly redeemed themselves with a massive 80-point win over the Swan Hill Flyers at the weekend.

Liam Murphy kicked off the Blazers’ scoring on Saturday night, followed quickly by Matt Johnston and Harrison Butler.

With help from Brady Neill, Lachlan Drummond and Michael Duncan, the Blazers were able to sit 20 points ahead of Swan Hill at the end of the opening quarter. Young Darcy Bond and Dale

Hickey made an appearance on the board for the Blazers in the second, and continued scoring by Neill and Butler left Maryborough with a score of 55-18 at the halftime buzzer.

The Blazers’ reign continued in the third, with Swan Hill able to add just 10 points to its total, while Maryborough stacked on the points through multiple contributors leaving scores at 88-28 with just one quarter to go.
