Something for everyone at Talbot’s Swap with the Lot

Russell Bell is one of many who is getting reading for Talbotʼs Swap with the Lot this weekend.

Over 80 show cars and 300 stallholders are expected to head to Talbot’s Swap with the Lot swap meet this Sunday.

Maryborough District Historical Vehicle Club (MDHVC) representative Russell Bell said the event is in its 17th year and that crowds can expect to see almost everything, including the kitchen sink, from 7 am this Sunday morning.

“It’s the Swap with the Lot so that covers just about everything from plants, to crockery, to tools and motor parts. We get people with just about everything,” he said.

“There’s also a show and shine and we expect there to be between 80-100 cars on display.”

Profits from the Swap with the Lot go directly back into the Talbot medical car and the MDHVC, as well as an annual $1000 donation to a local not-for-profit group.

“Every year we give away $1000 to a charity. This year’s has already been decided. We’re giving it to the Maryborough Ambulance Auxiliary for their aeromedical transfer station,” Mr Bell said.
