The clash between Colts Phelans and Laanecoorie Dunolly is set to be the most highly contested match of the round.
One-day premiers Laanecoorie topped the competition last season, finishing in first place on both the one and two-day ladders.
Laane wasn’t able to grab a round one win last weekend, with a new-look Maryborough side besting them by just 14 runs.
After the departure of last year’s captain and opening bat Jayden Templeton, Laane set its sights on skipper Liam Mottram and Ryan Potter to open the batting at the weekend.
Unfortunately, Maryborough was bowling at its best so latter batsmen Brad McHugh and Steven Dellavedova had to bare the brunt of the side’s scoring.
The loss of Templeton is the side’s only change, so there is no reason why Laane cannot fend off Colts Phelans in round two.
