Barefoot investor’s book a boost for McPherson’s

The author behind The Barefoot Investor, Scott Pape, visited local printing press McPhersonʼs Printing Group this week to sign copies of his upcoming book and meet with site operations manager Rob Huismann.

The nation’s favourite barefoot investor, Scott Pape, stepped into McPherson’s Printing Group earlier this week to sign some copies of his latest financial advice book which will be released later this month.

Author of The Barefoot Investor, which sold more than one million copies — more than 500,000 of which were printed at McPherson’s — Scott’s latest instalment, The Barefoot Investor for Families, has recently broken pre-order record sales at Dymocks, surpassing J.K Rowling’s final book in the Harry Potter series.

Living in regional Victoria, Scott said he is proud to have McPherson’s printing his new book.

“I’m really proud of the fact that we’re printing books here in Australia and regional Victoria and not offshore,” he said.

“This is an Aussie book for Aussie families and it’s great that we’re printing in Maryborough, a town that employs a lot of regional families.”

McPherson’s site operations manager Rob Huismann said more than 100,000 copies of the new book are being printed locally.
