Another round in the MCDFNL 2018 season has seen yet another massive Carisbrook win and another huge goal haul to Ash Munari.
The Redbacks showed no signs of letting go of their new found status as ladder leaders on Saturday, demolishing Newstead by 187 points in a 31.22 (208) to 3.3 (21) masterclass.
Munari brought up his third double digit haul of the season, booting 10 majors.
He now has 84 goals for the year with 43 of those coming in the past four rounds alone.
His tally is now higher than the final total scored by the league’s leading goalkickers in the past four seasons and he remains a real chance at cracking the 100- goal mark in the home and away season, should he maintain his current average of over six goals per game.
Munari would become the first person to kick over 100 goals in the MCDFNL since Lexton’s Matt Brown in 2012, however Carisbrook faces tough opposition in the final three rounds with the reigning premiers set to meet Harcourt, Lexton and Navarre.
