Delly fever once again hit Maryborough earlier this week as NBA superstar Matthew Dellavedova returned home.
Local basketball fans packed the Maryborough Sports and Leisure Centre courts to train with Dellavedova and grab a picture with the Milwaukee Bucks star.
When asked how he became so good at basketball by a participant, Dellavedova told the crowd he would practice shooting every single day and that he would even dribble his basketball to school.
Dellavedova said the Bucks are determined to win the champion- ships this season so he can “bring the trophy back to Maryborough”.
In the off-season Dellavedova will play with the Australian Boomers having already played with the side in the qualifier for the 2019 World Cup to be held in China.
The Boomers were surrounded by controversy earlier this month after a brawl broke out on court during a qualifying match against the Philippines.
