against Strathfieldsaye on the weekend.

Maryborough’s A grade netball side has secured its second win of the 2018 BFNL season, defeating Strathfieldsaye on Saturday.

The 18-goal win at Princes Park sees Maryborough move up from fifth to fourth position on the BFNL ladder.

Maryborough settled into the match quickly in the first quarter with goalies Keely Hare and captain Jordan Macilwain working well together with their shooting accuracy, delivering a 15-10 lead to Maryborough at quarter time.

In the second quarter, Maryborough stepped up its defensive pressure and took advantage of a high number of turnovers by maintaining its shooting accuracy to go in to the halftime break with a 37-21 lead over Strath.

The third term saw the Storm change their goaling combination in a bid to ward off Maryborough’s 16- goal lead.
