Asteria Services hub moves forward

The contract to refurbish the former Davis Poultry factory as Asteria Services new business services hub has been awarded to Darryl and Dean Maffescioni. The local builders met with Asteria board members at the site last week.

Plans to completely refurbish a Nelson Street factory as Asteria Services’ new business services hub have moved a step closer, with the building contract awarded to a local tender.

Local builders Darryl and Dean Maffescioni were the successful tenders for the major project, which is set to include more than $1 million worth of works.

Meeting at the former Davis Poultry factory in Nelson Street last week, Asteria Services board president Chris Meddows-Taylor said he is “delighted” a local builder has been awarded the contract.

“This was a really competitive process and we’re thrilled that Dean and Darryl have been awarded the contract,” he said.
