Talbot Art Group works go on display

The Talbot Art Group is showing a collection of their works at the Maryborough Resource Centre this month.

After a busy 12 months of creating new work, the Talbot Art Group are now displaying the fruits of their labour in the Maryborough Resource Centre.

On show until February 17, the exhibition showcases a vast array of pieces of work, completed in a range of different media.

It is the fifth exhibition the group has hosted at the resource centre.

“We have always had encouraging feedback as well as several sales,” group member Fran Tulk said.

“As people walk around the exhibition, they will notice the wide range of style and mediums used.”

The group was started five years ago by Evansford artist Carol Brock. “Carol works in several mediums and has exhibited extensively. This experience and her excellent coaching has been invaluable to us as some are first time artists,” Fran said.

“Carol inspired us to experiment and move outside our comfort zones and we are continuing to do so.”

The group’s members also exhibit at regional arts shows in Avoca, Beaufort, Clunes and Castlemaine.
