Both sides continued to score and the gap remained steady, with Kyneton unable to pull ahead.

The Blazers entered the third quarter with a 10-point lead, but Kyneton soon attempted a comeback, climbing until it was just three points behind the Blazers, 50- 47.

Maryborough maintained the lead into the final quarter, but Kyneton doubled its effort and held the Blazers steady at 57 while the Tigers jumped their score by 10 points.
