Horse float flipped in collision

A Holden station wagon rear-ended a horse float earlier this week, causing it to flip onto its side.

Two drivers were lucky to escape serious injury when a horse float was rear-ended, causing it to flip, this week.

At approximately 2 pm on Tuesday on Majorca Road, near Craigie, a Holden Commodore station wagon driver, aged in her 30s, failed to stop behind a Toyota HiLux towing a horse float, which contained a pony, while turning left into a private property.

The impact of the crash caused the horse float to flip onto its side and push the HiLux, which was driven by a woman aged in her 60s, into a fence.

Neither driver nor pony were injured, however, both vehicles sustained serious damage.
