On the eve of its 2017 season, the Maryborough Netball Association is calling on budding young netballers to take their first steps on to the court.
With registrations coming in a little slower than expected for this year ’s Net-Set-Go program, the association is reminding the public of the benefit of the skills-based program which is designed to introduced young girls and boys to the sport of netball.
“Net-Set-Go is a foundation program for building the basic skills of netball where kids gradually progress through the three stages of the program,” the program’s coordinater Rachael Palmer said.
“There’s the Net for younger kids, then the Set stage for slightly older ones and then we hope participants move into our C-grade competition, that’s the final goal.”
