Maryborough District Health Service is hailing the inaugural Feast on the Fairway and Inspiring Health Week as an enormous success.
A range of different events were hosted last week in a bid to tackle a series of local issues such as family violence and health and wellbeing.
“The week was enormous. I think we’ve broken a whole heap of new ground,” MDHS CEO Terry Welch said.
“The organisation and planning went flawlessly, the attendances, the support and the follow-up commentary have been fantastic and it’s given us a great platform to launch from.”
One of the highlights of Inspiring Health Week was Feast on the Fairway, held at Maryborough Golf Club on Wednesday evening, which threw family violence into the spotlight and featured Victims of Crime Commissioner Greg Davies as a guest speaker.
