Maryborough star batsman Todd Doran has shone on the biggest stage, helping the Owls’ under-16 side to the premiership with a seven-wicket win over Laanecoorie Dunolly.
Laane won the toss and decided to bat first and looked to be travelling reasonably well before Doran created the first breakthrough, dismissing Connor O’Shea for four.
Zac Mortlock fell shortly after, bowled by Jye Kenden leaving Laane 2/24.
From that point on wickets tumbled at regular intervals with no other Laane batsman managing to break double figures.
