Matthew Dellavedova has begun his quest to add an Olympic gold medal to his NBA championship after he was officially named in the Boomers side for the upcoming Rio games.
His selection comes as no surprise, with the new Milwaukee Bucks guard enjoying a career-best season in the world’s elite basketball competition.
While many would still be basking in the triumph of capturing the NBA’s ultimate prize, Dellavedova has made breaking the Boomers’ Olympic medal drought his chief priority.
“The main goal is still to win a gold medal for Australia,” Dellavedova said.
