Rep side on track

A 45 man senior football interleague training squad has been announced by the Maryborough Castlemaine District Football Netball League ahead of the Worksafe Country Championships later this month.

The MCDFNL announced the initial squad on Friday with the list set to be cut down to a final representative side ahead of the interleague match against the Geelong District Football Netball League on May 24 at Princes Park.

Twelve players from the successful side that defeated the Picola Football Netball League by 69 points in 2013 have been includedinthesidewith Carisbrook’s Patrick Jenes, Harcourt’s Paul Chaplin, Maryborough Rovers’ Scott Sellers, Daniel Parkin and Luke Hendy from Navarre named in the side along with Lexton trio Michael Jennings, Damon Aspland and James Templeton.

Adrian Conn, Mark Ramsey and Ethan Ford from Newstead also again made the cut.

2013 training squad members Joel Smith, Jackson Bowen, Matthew Brown, Bryce Tickner and Jayden Fowkes have also been included in the initial squad.
