Victorian Premier, John Brumby made a visit to Talbot on Wednesday, announcing funding to upgrade facilities at the town’s recreation reserve.
Just three days out before voters in Victoria head to the polls, the Premier announced $250,000 to upgrade the oval’s surface — dependant on tomorrow’s election result.
He also announced possible future funding of $22,000 for new cricket nets in Dunolly and $18,000 towards the Maryborough Skate Park.
Later in the afternoon Member for Ripon, Joe Helper visited Maryborough’s Jubilee Oval to commit $150,000 to upgrade facilities.
“It is wonderful to be in Talbot today to announce these funding commitments as part of the Facilities for the Future program,” Mr Brumby said.
