Maryborough police are investigating an incident in which they believe a four wheel drive was used to demolish a toilet block in the Paddys Ranges State Forest.
Police believe the vehicle was used to ram the timber toilet block, which is owned by Parks Victoria, in the state park off the Old Avoca Road between Tuesday and Thursday.
It is estimated that the senseless act of vandalism caused approximately $7000 worth of damage.
The vehicle was used to knock over two trees blocking vehicle access to the toilet block in order to cause the damage.
Paddys Ranges park ranger, Rob Brouwers, said the vandalism is frustrating.
“Every now and then we’ll get some signs damaged or something, but this is the biggest damage we’ve had for a long time.
