Bowenvale Fire Brigade received the keys of its new $186,000 light tanker on Sunday from Member for Ripon, Joe Helper.
The new tanker will be used for general firefighting and as a back-up for when the other truck has to attend another incident.
Bowenvale Fire Brigade now boasts two fire tankers and a quick-fill.
Mr Helper said that Bowenvale Fire Brigade has a long and proud tradition of providing a vital service to the local community and state.
On Sunday Smythesdale and Lexton fire brigades also received new vehicles.
Mr Helper said the new vehicles would make the brigade’s bushfire response more effective, especially in large or fast moving fires where multiple units were required.
