There are many weary feet in the Central Goldfields as yesterday was the finale to the Dare to Dance Festival.
Participants deserve to put their feet up and take a break following 12 days of dancing that included just a bit of everything.
Whether it was Latin moves, dancing for kids, line dancing, bellydancing, old time dance or folk dance it was covered, along with many more dances across the Central Goldfields.
One hundred and one dancers converged on the Maryborough Railway Station platform on Saturday afternoon in an attempt to break last year’s record for the number of people line dancing on a station platform.
They fell just short of last year’s record of 110 but organisers hope this attempt will again be on next year’s program.
