Six years of markets

The Talbot Farmers’ Market turns six on Sunday.

From 9 am to 1 pm turn out in Scandinavian Crescent and Camp Street, Talbot and see for yourself just how wonderful the market is.

What started more than a decade ago, has today turned into a huge monthly market offering people the freshest and best in produce, sourced locally and a little further away.

Visitors not only have the opportunity to taste some fine delights, but also immerse themselves in Talbot’s rich goldfields heritage which is just about everywhere in the historic village.

In 1999 Talbot Action surveyed the residents of Talbot and district and revealed that 45 percent of respondents wanted access to fresh fruit and vegetables through a co-operative or similar facility.
