The “dodgy” installers

While local business has suffered from the fall out of the Federal Government’s dumped insulation installation scheme it seems that home owners are also feeling the effect.

The Advertiser has been in contact with a number of home owners who have had questionable work done in their homes.

A Kennedy Street resident contacted by The Advertiser said his house has been left damaged after he fell victim to a “dodgy” insulation installer, who he believes forged his signature on a rebate claim.

The resident, who wishes to remain anonymous, says he contacted the installer in October last year, and was given a quote and told the company’s workers would be around to complete the job in three week’s time.
