Power was cut to several High and Tuaggra street businesses on Wednesday afternoon following a fire in the Asian Noodle Sushi King.
Maryborough Fire Brigade received the call at 3.50 pm following a call to 000 from the business’s owner.
The fire was noticed behind an advertising sign on the Tuaggra Street side of the business.
The owner started to extinguish the blaze with a dry chemical extinguisher before the fire brigade arrived.
On arrival, the two trucks and 15 firefighters that turned out put out the flames in the roof.
Maryborough Fire Brigade captain, Darryl Wagstaff said firefighters then removed the sign from the building and extinguished its frame.
