Former Maryborough footballers, Stewart Crameri and Eddie Prato, both found homes in Tuesday’s AFL rookie draft.
Crameri was picked up by Essendon while Prato is with the Western Bulldogs.
Crameri, 21, did pre-season last year with Essendon and was told that he had just missed out.
Although very disappointed with this news, the talented high marking and long kicking youngster decided that he had to work hard to achieve his dream of playing AFL footy.
Crameri has spent the last three seasons in the VFL playing with the Bendigo Bombers and the season just finished, he played mostly off half back and was a regular in the best players, despite the side not having much success.
