Water restrictions to be eased

Central Highlands Water will ease water restrictions from stage 4e to stage 3 in the Maryborough and district water supply system commencing on August 1, chairman, John Barnes announced on Friday morning at the Maryborough Water Treatment Plant.

Mr Barnes said due to ongoing investment into water quality and supply projects such as Stoney Creek and Moolort Groundwater supplies, there has been a positive impact on water security in Maryborough.

As part of Victoria Police’s change from five police regions to four on July 1, Central Goldfields will join with Loddon to create the Central Goldfields/

Loddon Police Service Area.

Previously aligned with the Pyrenees, the Central Goldfields/

Loddon Police Service Area (PSA) will come into effect from next week.
