The Bendigo Bank Maryborough Castlemaine District Football Netball League first and second semi finals take place this weekend, with the second semi final at Dunolly on Saturday between Maldon and Avoca, and the first semi final at Avoca on Sunday between Rovers and Carisbrook.

Maryborough has won its first final in the Bendigo Football Netball League in 11 years after defeating Sandhurst on Sunday.

After being in and out of the top five over recent weeks, the Maryborough Magpies won fifth position on the ladder and a berth in next week’s elimination final in the Bendigo Bank Bendigo Football League after defeating Kyneton by 121 points.

Carisbrook has ended Campbells Creek’s hopes of a finals berth in the Bendigo Bank Maryborough Castlemaine District Football League after the Redbacks defeated the Magpies by 59 points at Carisbrook on Saturday.
