Maryborough rental prices have increased due to rising demand over the past 18 months, agents say.

Agents say the average rental price for residential properties in the city has risen from around $150 to around $180 a week in the past 18 months.

Maryborough First National Real Estate manager, Craig Bell said that while prices were holding firm, demand for residential properties to purchase was also strong in Maryborough.

“We are short of listings and I think all agents in Maryborough would say the same thing,” Mr Bell said.
